I woke up at 7:20am Monday morning and left at 7:40, ran and got tags for my car. then I headed on my way, I stopped at a gas station by my work to fill up my gas tank, then drop by work and it was like 9:20.
So then I drive and drive to this gas station/subway before Des Moines. It was nice, then I drove more and my dad called me, like 10 minutes before I flew through Des Moines.
Well..I didn't actually fly. But anyways he used to live in that area so it was kinda cool. After Des Moines I saw this trucker start slowin down and apparently he blew a tire cuz there was smoke or dust or something.
He pulled over and luckily my car didnt get attacked by too much flying debris. I also saw some wind farms on my way, which was great.
I took pictures to show Jess. She warned me as I entered Minnesota to watch out for the moose.
My dad called me again as I was just a little ways past Cabelas. I chatted with my friend Brandon on the way too. After I arrived in St Paul area I ran over to a Target and found travel size shaving cream, and two DVDs.
Exciting stuff. Later I checked into my hotel room and then caught that Matchstick Men was on so I watched it. Then I went and got pizza at this Davanni's restaurant. I ordered way more than I should have but oh well.
I took the rest with me. Then back to the hotel to watch TV and sleep.
woke up tuesday morning and had breakfast, a whopping two muffins and some apple juice. Hey, it was amazing that I actually ate breakfast. so give me a break.
Back to my room for morning TV that showed me all the news I wanted to see. So I run over to the Mall of America, because well, at this point I didn't much have anything to do otherwise.
And wandering malls is mindless entertainment and good exercise too. I parked by the Bloomingdales store, not that it is really important to the grand scheme of things.
I walk through Bloomingdales because well, that store is just too upscale and fancy clothing for my tastes. So then I totally found the Lego Imagination Center.
Put my Legos to shame:( Sad. But still exciting cuz its a bunch of Legos! I love Legos. Well so I build this streamline thin car. And they had a track to race it, and I lost to like some six year old. Freaking hilarious.
Well then I rode a roller coaster and unfortunately for Winston I didn't get to take a picture while on it cuz they said no pictures and well, I was spinnin so much I woulda lost the camera anyways.
But it was a rollercoaster INSIDE! Then I had some A&W chili cheese dog and a root beer float. Too much hot dog. blech. But I ate it all, then I walked around.
Rode roller coasters a couple more times, and blah blah, really dizzy now. I also stopped by Perfumania and bought some cologne. Got a couple IMs from Danni on my phone, uber exciting.
She and her boyfriend Chris got to the mall around 7 and we met at the Lego Imagination Center cuz it's the coolest place at the mall.
We walked around, got food, went to spencers and hot topic, and oh when I was at Specers I got a Guinness hat to keep me head warm, and then I got 4 Guinness pint glasses! I rockle the hizouse.
Then we went by some other store that had a cammo skateboard but no cammo wheels to go with it. Slightly disappointing. but oh well. Well anyways so now it's getting late and so we decide it's time to go.
Chris took a picture of Danni and I which was so nice of him. So Chris and Danni head on off to wherever they go and I went back to my car and then to my hotel room.
Getting to meet Danni face to face was definately the best part by far on this trip. Probably the highlight moment of November. So I'm all smiling as I walk outside and...it had started snowing.
After raining all day. So I found a patch of slick pavement on the onramp to 77 highway. Interesting to say the least. Nothing much else happened, I watched TV and went to sleep after making it safely to my room.
I woke up Wednesday morning, had breakfast again, two muffins and apple juice. What, at least I got breakfast two days in a row. Get ready, go to the mall yet again, cuz theres some stores I hadn't yet wandered into enough.
It's freaking cold out that morning. I wander around barns and noble, legoland, stop at Taco Bell for a soft taco, then go to the Mall of America gift shop. I got a call from Danni, so that made me happy.
More wandering, back to play with Legos...what? Legos are awesome. Ya'll just don't know. I made a Lego tree out of blue & white bricks. Okay its not really a tree I just stacked them and whatever.
Someone asked if the kids or adults were having more fun at the Lego imagination center and I replied that it depended on whether I was a kid or an adult.
Ate at Burger King, then left the mall at 3:40pm. I got on the road at 4pm, and stop by Cabelas to take a picture of moose they had in there. Then I drove 5 hrs 30 mins straight to Kansas.
I ate a slice of cold pizza on the way. I got a call from Matt when I stopped for gas. He wanted to see how the trip went. Got home at 11:20pm or so.
