My Friend written on 2001-04-21
This poem was written for any of my friends in essence. I love to help my friends in whatever way I can or do. This was my first poem I wrote which makes it unique in and of itself.

Lord I Pray For The One written on 2001-04-30
I wrote this poem to ask God to protect the woman He has chosen for me, no matter where she lives, what she's doing, or how long it may take for us to find each other. This was the first poem I read publicly.

The Hurt written on 2001-05-01
I wrote this poem when I realized that my friends, whether I met them online or in person, have been through many things that I never have, and I don't know how they have been so strong to suvive as well as they have.

You Wanted To Talk written on 2001-05-03
This poem was written about people who exist only in my imagination, but I see it as a way that someone who has been holding in their pain and suffering finally will open up to someone and it frees them from their prison of pain.

Forgotten Days written on 2001-05-04
This poem is more or less about someone who has suffered from depressing or hard times in their life; but with the help of their friends they realize that they aren't a horrible person. They remember that life can be good.

The Game written on 2001-05-04
The Game is about the ways that love(or possibly lust disguised as love) can be cruel and hostile, and how one can decide to stop searching for love and let God take control of their love life.

Would It Make A Difference written on 2001-05-06
The one word to describe what this poem is about is materialism. It questions what the important things in life should be and what kind of a difference it would make if certain events took place. This was the second poem I read publicly.

The Rain written on 2001-05-06
Quite simply, this is about two friends who have been friends for the longest time and just take opportunity to be crazy, to be their own person and enjoy a rainy day(or night) with a friend.

The Place written on 2001-05-07
This poem is about having a place and time to go to be with yourself, to really see who you are and what you truely believe in. A place that can help you smile when the rest of the world seems to be putting you down.

My Hero written on 2001-05-09
The title should be self explanitory. I wrote the poem the way I did so that no one could read the poem and say "Hey I know who that is." because the chances are, not many people really know my hero.

I really didn't know this poem would turn out the way it did, but it came to symbolize the ways that we can find ourselves doing our best only to lose the ones we love most.

These Friends Of Mine written on 2001-05-11
This poem describes six of my friends(can you figure out who?), for the different way each have graced the earth with their own talent. They each affected my life in different ways. In the end, the poem is a thank you to all of my friends.

Battles Won written on 2001-05-13
This poem is for my mom. The first letters of every line spell out "breast cancer", of which my mom has fought and survived twice. Coincidentally, I wrote it on Mother's Day of 2001.

This is about not being able to tell someone something, whether from fear or simply losing your voice for a short period of time.

The first letters from each line in this poem spells "insanity". It simply states that not thinking for yourself can destroy your ability to be yourself, and in doing so, questions why that is not insane in itself.

I wrote this to prove to myself and others that I don't have to do what others do, just because it's the average or normal thing to do.

This poem is about the ways that I see some things in life, whether that is how others see it or not.

The title is pretty self explanitory, I think that the inspiration to write this poem has come from self-reflection on times that I have let jealousy consume me. How though I try to resist it, it seems as though there's always something out there.

This poem is about well.. choices... and how that even if I did mess up before I would have a boring life(and continue to be) if I hadn't made mistakes.

The title of this poem translates something to the effect of "These Friends of Mine". I didn't want to use the same name to talk about the same thing, so I changed it...but not really. It's about six of my friends. Perhaps you can identify them...

One Person written on 2002-11-03
This poem came to me from a conversation I had with my philosophy professor one day. We discussed how we're not necessarily one person. To me I have not one, but many different personalities that interact to make me who I am. Sometimes my better side shows, sometimes a not so good side does.

Troubled Times written on 2002-11-06
I wrote this poem to be somewhat of a prayer for a girl who has fallen out of a guy's life and he realizes how much he needs her. It written because of a similar situation in which I was pushing someone away, and it hurt most because I didn't know why. I let her title the poem.

This poem pretty much describes the peace one is finding, and how they are finally feeling peace from the stresses they have been enduring. Strangely, and perhaps sadly, they find relief in suicide.

This poem pretty much describes feelings associated with losing a significant other because they no longer care.

This is a poem I wrote about the, as of yet, greatest bomber that the USAF has ever had, the B-52 Stratofortress. I wrote it for my friend Josh, who was a crew chief on them for a while.

Black Hole written on 2003-01-23
This poem is about me feeling like I am losing control. And in losing control I have also lost a part of my life. There is somewhat of an inside joke in the last stanza: I play a shooting game called Perfect Dark and in multiplayer I would often get disarmed and be blurry and so I would point it out in frustration and someone would comment that I'm always blurry. Like I said...inside joke, nothin to do with the poem per say.

Breaking Free written on 2003-02-13
I wrote this poem from experiences of realizing that some things I was doing and some things I was a part of weren't good for me. And yet, breaking from such habits was not an easy task. But the relief it brings is like a sweet victory for me.

This poem is about food. I was just having fun making stuff up and this was the result. It isn't in reference to any particular meal, and serves no purpose other than to say ENJOY YOUR FOOD!
